In partnership with the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE), a non-profit educator specialising in film, 3D Animation, video games and visual effects, DEMS will be utilising the new AIE STUDIOS and will be working with third party providers to produce one project a year at these facilities once they launched.

AIE Studios will be co-sited at AIE’s Canberra campus (aie.edu.au) which includes Film Plus production facilities (filmplus.com.au) and Game Plus co-working spaces (gameplus.com.au). The purpose-built facility will enable both virtual production and traditional filmmaking, for the independent film and tv production industry.

Construction is currently planned to start late 2025 (subject to DA Approval) and first projects will go into production late 2026.
